DIY Rose Petal Bath SaltsÂ
Hey friends! Are you ready for Mother’s Day weekend? I have one last Mother’s Day project to share with you today. This relaxing bath soak is a perfect last-minute gift idea. As a mother myself, I treasure bath time. And I don’t mean the one where I’m wrestling antsy toddlers who refuse to have their hair washed. As fun as those are I think I enjoy my quiet bath time a tad bit more. This Mother’s Day I’ve been working on a gift basket for my mom filled with bath bombs, body butters, sugar scrubs, and bath salts. My mom is a big fan of homemade bath and body products so I’m hoping she’ll love her gift. This Rose bath soak is the last part of my gift basket and I thought I’d share the recipe with you today.
Supplies:
1-1/2 cups Epsom Salts
1/2 cup Sea Salt
1/4 cup baking soda
1/2 cup dried rose petals
15 drops Rose Oil (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Store in airtight container.
Note: I’ve made a couple variations of this bath soak before and have found that when using the essential oil and dried rose petals it’ll have a shorter lifespan. I’m thinking the liquid oil soaks the rose petals once it’s combined in the jar, which means the mixture should be used up quicker. To make the bath soak last longer, use only the rose petals or essential oil. Otherwise if both ingredients are added I recommend using within 7 days.
