Storage Cart Office Organization – keep your office organized with a storage cart and pretty organization boxes from Michaels.
Happy New Year, friends! I hope you had a fun weekend welcoming the new year. We kept things simple by watching movies with the kids until it was time to watch the ball drop. Speaking of keeping things simple, I’ve been busy organizing everything in our house over the last week. As soon as Christmas is over I always have this urge to declutter our home and start the new year fresh. It took me 3 days to clean out my craft/office space, clothing and shoes from our master bedroom. I still have a lot to do with the rest of the house but right now I’m feeling really great about my decluttered office space. Today I’m sharing my office space organization as part of the Michaels Makers Fresh Start Challenge.
I’m going to be honest, some days I feel like a hoarder. I mean as a craft blogger you accumulate so many supplies over the years and recently I’ve been feeling really overwhelmed by it. I always say to myself “well, I haven’t used this in a while (or ahem..a couple years) but WHAT IF I need it someday?” This mentality has really taken a toll and I felt like it was time to stop making excuses and get rid of the clutter. Downsizing my supplies to fit into containers was the best decision I’ve made! Not only did it force me to really take a look at what I need and what I’m not using, it also makes the space look more organized.
Storage Cart Office Organization
When I came across this white storage cart at Michaels I knew I had to have it! It’s the perfect size for my office space and great for organizing craft supplies. I used these white boxes to organize small supplies like glue, staplers and tape. The white and wood storage box (which I LOVE) is perfect for organizing my Lightbox letters.
Remember the vinyl storage boxes I shared last week? They fit perfectly on top of my storage cart and keep all of my office supplies in an easy to find place.
I also picked up this big floral box to store some larger items. I really like that it fits quite nicely on the cart and hides everything inside so the space doesn’t look cluttered. They have a great selection of these decorative boxes available right now so I want to add some to my daughter’s room to organize her craft supplies.
Of course I had to add a little decor to my space with this pretty vase and pink hydrangea flower.
I can’t tell you enough how great it is to have this space organized. I’m looking forward to working on the rest of the house this week..on second thought, not quite looking forward to it but I am looking forward to having a decluttered home.
