If there’s one thing you should know about me it’s that I love wreaths. I also enjoy finding new ways to make them. This week I decided to make a winter wreath but in an unconventional way. For my winter wreath I used an Elmer’sFoam Board rather than a typical styrofoam wreath form. It was super easy to make and with one foam board you can make 2-3 wreaths.
Isn’t it pretty? I love the white and grey combo.
 Supplies:
an Elmer’s Foam Board
Krazy Glue
felt
a glue gun
ribbon
white berry picks
an X-ACTO knife
To make the wreath form I traced a large plate then used a smaller plate in the center
Then used an X-ACTO knife to cut it out
I ended up with this wreath form…
I used a dab of Krazy Glue to glue the yarn to the board…
Put in a movie and started wrapping the yarn around the wreath form.
Once I finished wrapping I hot glued the white berry picks on
Then made some white felt flowers. I have a tutorial for these here.
When I was finished I added some ribbon and hung it on a mirror.
update: the weight of the flowers were causing it to tilt a little so I used removable mounting squares and it now stays in place nicely :)
And here’s my white and grey winter decor.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you’re all having a fabulous weekend!

I LOVE that!! I just made my first yarn wreath and made the mistake of going big. Oh my goodness, I think I wrapped yarn for a solid 3 hours. Lesson learned. I like small yarn wreaths :)

It is sooo pretty! I love the colour scheme and the way it looks with all your other decor!

And I love that the foam board wreath shape totally worked {those styrofoam ones are soooo expensive} – I'll probably use that next time!

Great job!

It's really gorgeous! I love making wreaths but have never made a "flat" one before. I'll definitely have to try that way next. :-)
