Avengers Cupcake Toppers

We have some big Marvel fans in our home, specifically my husband and oldest son. My husband is such a big Marvel fan that we debated my entire pregnancy about naming our youngest Charles Xavier Owens (X-Men). Needless to say I won that debate. But that hasn’t stopped him from turning all three kids into Marvel fans just like he was growing up (and still is!). Earlier this year it was his turn to pick our date night and he chose to go see The Avengers. I ended up loving it! I wasn’t very familiar with the characters at the time but all the action and witty remarks from Robert Downey Jr. had me glued to the screen. I’ve been waiting months for the Blu-Ray movie release but my son was even more excited since he didn’t get to see it in theaters. To celebrate the Blu-Ray/DVD movie release we had an Avengers family night! We had a small Avengers party that the whole family could enjoy.

Avengers Party Decor

I made Avengers cupcake toppers using the same die from my Halloween treats. All I did was make the rosettes then added Avengers stickers in the center. It was very simple and the kids loved them! The Avengers Cupcake Toppers

I found some Avengers paper plates, masks, and napkins for our party, nothing extravagant but it was fun for the kids.

Red, White, and Blue Decor

We also picked up a Marketside pizza from the deli. It had the Avengers displayed on the box which could also be used with the app. We scanned it to unlock a scene..I’m not into video games but it was pretty awesome! Look at the picture on the right, I’m holding my phone directly above the box using the app. This was our first time trying Marketside pizza and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. Plus I didn’t have to cook for the night so it was a win-win. ;)

Check out these Avengers masks…I couldn’t stop laughing while trying to take this picture. The kids loved them!

The Avengers Party

So tell me who is your favorite Avengers character? Mine is definitely Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. is hilarious in the movie

I’m a sucker for the big green guy. Hulk smash. Giggled when he got through making a mess and then as an afterthought punched Thor and when he called Loki a “puny god.” My hubby is a big geek too. We saw almost everything comic book except this movie in theaters. Wasn’t that keen on Thor so was kind of meh about viewing it. I was pleasantly surprised.

How cool are you that you themed your family movie night? We have an Avengers loving husband who has passed on the Marvel love to the kids in our household too. But I was surprised how much I liked the film, Iron Man is hilarious!
