Cauldron Halloween slime party favors made with glow in the dark slime, eyes, pumpkins, spiders and bones!
Eeek! It’s almost time for Halloween and I’ve been busy trying to think of fun Halloween party favors. Every year we have a Halloween party for the kids. Some years we invite friends, others it’s just the family. We make spooky Halloween party food, play silly games and decorate pumpkins. This year the kids are inviting a couple of friends so I’ve been thinking about party favors that the kids can take home. One of our favorites is Halloween slime! The Glow-in-the-dark Slime recipe is one of our most popular posts and I thought it would make a great Halloween party favor in these mini cauldron cups.
Last year I made Cauldron Cupcakes in mini silicone cauldrons. I’ve never received so many messages about where to find an item! They are from Michaels but unfortunately not available online. If you don’t have a store near you, I’ve included links to alternative party favor ideas.

Supplies:
Cauldron cups – THIS is a great alternative
Elmers glue – if you’re making a lot of slime THIS is a great option!
Glow in the dark paint
Neon green food dye
Borax
Step one: empty two glue bottles in a bowl. Fill the glue bottles with warm water, close the cap and shake to help loosen up any remaining glue. Pour the water into your bowl and mix with glue.
Step two: add green food dye and glow in the dark paint. I use the majority of one small paint bottle. The more you use the brighter your slime will glow.
Step two: in a small cup stir half a cup of warm water with one teaspoon of Borax; stir until the Borax dissolves. Pour borax water into your glue mixture. Stir until slime begins to form. Use your hands and start working the slime – it will be sticky at first. Within minutes the slime will be the perfect consistency.

Note: I have been making slime with this recipe for years. My kids are older and I feel comfortable with them playing with this recipe. There’s an alternative recipe with baking soda and contact solution. It’s totally up to you!
Fill cauldron cups with slime and add decorations. You can set up a small display so kids can create their own slime mixture with spiders, bones, pumpkins, wiggly eyes and more!
