DIY Disney Pixar Easter Eggs – how to make character Easter eggs inspired by Disney Pixar movies.
Easter is right around the corner and if you’ve been reading our blog for a while you know that we love character Easter eggs. This is a tradition my kids look forward to every year. We enjoy thinking of new characters or movie ideas to paint long-lasting Easter eggs. This year we were inspired by our favorite Disney Pixar movies! My 8-year-old was the creative director behind this entire collection and we had a lot of fun making them together. Today we’re sharing 6 Disney Pixar Easter Egg crafts you can make with kids.

UP Easter Egg
Resize clipart in Photoshop or Word to fit egg (about ¾-1-inch wide). Print on printable vinyl, cut and adhere to egg. Glue mini pom poms to form a bunch of balloons. Optional: add tiny pieces of white vinyl for the strings. My daughter suggested it and I think it really helped bring the UP inspired egg to come together.
Pixar Ball Easter Egg
Paint egg yellow and allow to dry. Paint about a one-inch border around the egg (I used a paint pen to make it easier, but a regular brush and paint would also work). Use a star punch and red vinyl for the star.
Mike Wazowski Easter Egg
Paint the entire egg green. Create the eye by layering white, teal and black paint (allowing each layer to dry in between). We used small objects around the house to trace the circles in pencil before painting the layers. The mouth is simply drawn on with a marker but feel free to get creative with his smile and teeth.
Sully Easter Egg
Paint the egg teal then add small purple polka dots. Add googly eyes and the smile with a marker. The nose is a tiny piece of vinyl but paint would also work. We struggled with the horns but ended up freehand cutting them out of white cardstock.
Toy Story Alien Easter Egg
Cover the egg in green paint; allow to dry. Add 3 small googly eyes and draw a smile with marker. We freehand cut the ears and antenna. Attach with a small dot of glue.
The Incredibles Easter Egg
We are HUGE fans of The Incredibles so we knew we had to add this to our collection. To make the egg we painted it red then used vinyl for the logo. I found the logo SVG file on Etsy then sized it together in Silhouette studio. I then separated the layers and cut each individually. So now you have 3 different layers of vinyl to assemble, it sounds confusing but I promise its really easy to do. Use transfer tape to pick up the yellow (i) vinyl layer and place it over the black vinyl layer. Then align the two pieces over the orange vinyl layer. So, to recap you will pick up each layer individually with the same piece of transfer tape and place the finished logo on the egg.
