Our family is traveling to Disneyland this summer, which has inspired a long list of Disney crafts. Over the next few weeks I plan to share a few Disney craft ideas that you can make with kids. First up is this Little Mermaid Mason Jar Light I made for my daughter. Madilynn’s favorite ride is The Little Mermaid at California Adventure. I wanted to create something for her room inspired by the ride. The blue rocks and vinyl silhouette remind me of the part when the ride appears to go under water and you see a silhouette of Ariel from above. With the help from my Cricut Explore Air 2 I was able to make this Disney craft in under 15 minutes.DIY The Little Mermaid Mason Jar Light - create an ocean inspired mason jar night light with a vinyl Ariel decal and LED light. Embellishments: glitter tape, twine & seashell

Step one: select your mermaid shape from the Cricut Design Space. Size to fit your jar and cut on the vinyl setting. Step two: use transfer tape to apply the mermaid to the jar. Smooth out any air bubbles.DIY The Little Mermaid Mason Jar Light - create an ocean inspired mason jar night light with a vinyl Ariel decal and LED light.Step three: hot glue a small LED light to the inside of your mason jar lid. The one I’m using twists to turn on/off. This makes it easy for my daughter to turn off by simply removing the mason jar lid. Step four: fill mason jar with white and blue rocks, leaving a small space at the top for the light. Decorate lid with blue glitter tape and add twine around the mouth of the jar. Add a small seashell to your twine with hot glue. Note: depending on the brightness of the LED light, you may want to add a second light inside. This is totally optional!DIY The Little Mermaid Mason Jar Light - create an ocean inspired mason jar night light with a vinyl Ariel decal and LED light.
