Halloween is right around the corner and today I’m sharing a quick and easy treat that’s perfect for a Halloween party or move night. This Graveyard Candy Bark is made with pretzels and Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Skulls.Sweet, Salty Graveyard Candy Bark

One of my favorite family activities is Friday movie night with the kids. Every Friday we gather around the family room to watch a movie and enjoy special treats. It’s something we have done as a family for years and look forward to every week. October is fun because we watch all of our favorite Halloween movies. This year we made Spell Book Treats for Hocus Pocus movie night, we’ve had chocolate covered popcorn, and recently graveyard candy bark.

Graveyard Candy Bark

This Graveyard Candy Bark is made with a combination of chocolate layers and Fun Size Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Skulls. The crispy, crunchy, peanut butter in the Butterfinger Skulls tie this whole recipe together for a decadent treat. It’s the perfect combo of sweet and salty. The candy bark is made with layers of salted pretzels, semi-sweet chocolate, cookie crumbles, Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Skulls and candy bones. The best part is that it’s quick to make and easy to wrap up to give a neighbor or bring to a Halloween party.

Halloween Candy Bark Ingredients

  • Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cups Skulls
  • Salted pretzels
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Chocolate cookies
  • Candy bones and spiders

  • To make the candy bark you will need to cover a 9×11 baking sheet with parchment paper. This will make it easier to lift the candy bark out of the pan once it is ready to cut.
  • Crumble chocolate cookies in a small food processor or plastic bag using a rollin pin.
  • Begin by adding a single layer of salted pretzels to the pan (about 1 ½ cups). The salt will help balance out the sweetness of the chocolate.

  • Melt 2 cups of chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl; stirring every 30 seconds. I like to use semi-sweet but feel free to use your favorite chocolate or a combination of semi-sweet, milk chocolate and dark chocolate.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the pretzels. Use a spatula to evenly spread chocolate over the entire pan.
  • Sprinkle cookie crumbs for the “dirt” in the graveyard.
  • Press Butterfinger peanut butter skulls into the chocolate.
  • Finish with candy bones and candy spiders or Halloween sprinkles.
  • Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes or until the chocolate has set.
  • Remove from pan and cut into pieces. Enjoy!
