DIY 3D Halloween Bat Frame

Halloween Craft

It’s safe to share Halloween projects now that it’s September, right? I sure hope so because I can’t wait for you to see this easy Halloween decor project. This year I think I have more Halloween ideas than time to complete them. Part of that reason is because I’m completely changing my usual Halloween decor this year. Are you like me and get tired of the same decor every year? I change my mind SO much and sometimes look back and wonder how I ever liked a certain trend. This can be a little problematic for my wallet so I try to DIY everything I can. My Halloween colors have always been Black & Orange, very typical year after year. This Halloween season I’ve decided to venture out into black and white with a pop of green for my decor.

This cute little framed bat is the first part of my Halloween wall display. I’m slowly working on putting it all together. I’ve been sharing a few sneak peeks of my Halloween decor on instagram and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!

Supplies:

Frame (found at Hobby Lobby)

Scrapbook paper

Bat die

Glue

I used my Epic 6 die cutting machine and ordered the Bat die from Lifestyle Crafts. I also ordered the new genius platform which is already sold out, but I’ll have a full tutorial on how to use the new platform soon!

Bat Die Cut

I know this is dorky but I love this paper, especially since it’s from France. It’s not often I buy something that comes from France, pretty fancy isn’t? :)

Once I cut the bat out I folded on the perforated lines to make it 3D then glued in onto the frame. I think it needs a little something so I may add a vinly EEK! and spider web to it. But maybe once it’s on the wall with the rest of the decor it won’t look so bare.
