Fall Candle Centerpiece

Fall has officially arrived in our house. I refuse to let the 102 weather ruin my enthusiasm for my favorite crafting, baking, decorating season. I’m still compiling plates and frames for my Halloween display but I hope to be done with it next week. I’m SO excited to see how it’s coming together. I found some adorable Halloween plates at Target along with a million other things. Seriously, I think Target is out to get me..or my wallet at least. I can’t seem to walk out of there without something to craft/decorate with every time I go..which of course is way too often. But before we jump into Halloween decor let me introduce you to my new Fall candle centerpiece.

Do you remember the unfinished wood tray I used for desserts at my sons Safari birthday party? With a little stain I transformed it into a beautiful fall centerpiece.

Here’s what I used to create the candle centerpiece:

wood tray from Hobby Lobby

Rustoleum dark walnut stain

Candle vases from the Dollar Store

Berry picks and garland

candles

I applied one coat of stain and let it dry overnight. I arranged the vases and wrapped the berry garland around the vases. I also took apart a pick and used it to fill any open spaces. Then came the hard part…figuring out where to place it! I can’t decide between a corner in my entry way or on my living room console table.

Have you started decorating for Fall?

Oh my gosh! This is GORGEOUS, Crystal. So beautiful and the photos are fantastic. I love the candles, too. The crisp whites go perfectly with the walnut stain and the gorgeous orange and yellows in the berry vine. I made what I really think is a GORGEOUS Indian Corn centerpiece but I just can’t get a good picture of it, my pics are ok but….I can tell they are great, the posts isn’t getting many hits :(

Your center piece is so pretty, love the colors with the tray and candles. The garlands you used are perfect, the berries are bright and cheerful, not dark. You did a great job staining the tray, the contrast is perfect. You can use that anywhere in your home. I love to make things can be used in other rooms as I get tired of things in same place. That’s why every year I do different displays and make new items to create displays.
Do you do that or do you like to use same things same ways? Nothing wrong with that either. Hope you are enjoying some Fall weather depending on where you live. We’re having low to high 70’s so really enjoying our Fall, no skeeters, that’s best part. We live few miles west of Grand Junction, CO. Have a happy week
