One of the best memories I have as a child is sitting on the porch with my sisters enjoying Otter Pops after a long day of swimming. We loved picking out the flavors by color choice. I now see that excitement in my children as they pick out an Otter Pop on a hot summer day. It could be 100 degrees out but I often hear that their little hands are freezing from holding the ice pop! So I quickly whipped up some felt ice pop holders. These couldn’t be any easier to make! Seriously, it took me maybe 10 minutes to make 5 ice pop holders. Ice Pop Holder Tutorial 1

To make them I cut strips of felt wide enough to cover the ice pop (my original cuts are 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches. I then sewed the sides together and trimmed the excess with pinking shears. That’s it! So easy and inexpensive to make. The felt sheets are about 30 cents to a dollar at the craft store and come in various colors and patterns. My daughter wants to embellish her ice pop holder with cute designs so we plan to use heat transfer vinyl to iron them on.

Seriously, how cute are the characters on the otter pops? My daughter likes Kook because she’s pink. I have to say that Louie-Bloo is my favorite! How cute is his hat? HA! He’s raspberry flavored and Kook is strawberry. Did you know that the Otter PopStars site has fun activities and fun facts for kids? I had no idea! They have instructions on how to make your own drum set and Spanish phrases for kids? So fun! Otter Pops Holders
