Red, White and Blue Patriotic Party Ideas – easy treats and party decor! This is sponsored post as part of the Michaels Makers blogger program.
Hi friends! With the start of a new month comes a new Michaels Makers project and today I’m sharing some easy patriotic party ideas. Memorial Day is coming up then before you know it 4th of July! Michaels has some great patriotic party supplies and home décor available right now. I picked up a few things to put together a small dessert cart.Let’s start with the backdrop. I used a paper fan kit that comes with everything you need to create a fun patriotic backdrop for your party. Simply open the fans and stick the ends together then arrange in any order you’d like. Since this is a small cart I decided to go with a vertical backdrop, alternating the sizes of the fans. By the way, I’m using the cart from my office organization post a few months back. You can find it in the craft storage section.I also picked up this decorative can to use with fresh flowers. I’m hoping to pick up a few more to create a centerpiece for our 4th of July party. The American flag mason jar is my favorite! These are perfect for holding straws, silverware, or flowers. Now let’s talk about treats! I found these fireworks cupcake toppers and they’re perfect for the 4th of July! I added sprinkles & the toothpick toppers then displayed them on a galvanized stand (also from Michaels, but purchased a few months ago). The kids loved these fireworks marshmallow treats. To make them I used a red & white treat sticks, 3 marshmallows, white chocolate, sprinkles and the firework toppers. Super simple and fun for the kids! The weather is starting to warm up and we’re all excited for summer. We’re looking forward to BBQs with friends, late nights playing outside and celebrating 3 birthdays in our family.
Whether you’re looking for fun décor, bright blooms, or cute party supplies, Michaels has everything you need to MAKE summer fun!
