Hey, remember me? You know that girl that said she’d be back the next day with a tutorial then unexpectedly disappeared? Yeah, that’s me. Oh and remember how I said a week ago that I was just getting over a cold? Yeah that wasn’t true, in fact it was only the beginning of something much worse than a cold. I pretty much slept then entire past week away and kinda got worse this weekend. I had small moments last week where I’d feel energized enough to get up and do things then I would go to sleep and wake up the next day feeling worse. Its now late Sunday night and for the first time in days I’m feeling slightly better. I have a busy week ahead, including a trip to Disneyland so I’m hoping that I’m completely better by tomorrow. Taking a week off from the good ol’ blog means lots of new ideas coming this week! I’m working on getting some posts scheduled and will be sharing my Disneyland experience on Instagram if you want to follow along. In the meantime I want to show you my new Red Wooden Sled.

DIY Red Wooden Sled

I don’t have a picture tutorial because I made it late at night last week and forgot to take pictures. But I found an unfinished wood sled at Michaels in their Christmas aisle for $5. I knew right away it needed to be part of my front porch decor. I thought about staining it then decided red would compliment my porch decor a lot better. I’m really excited with the way it turned out! I’ll have to remember to take pictures of my porch when I get back.

Red Wooden Sled

The spray paint I used is Rustoleum Regal Red and I used my cameo to cut the vinyl out. We don’t get snow here so I’m always dreaming of a white Christmas. :)

So cute! We were able to borrow a super old wooden sled for Christmas party decorations this weekend and I fell it love with it. Was kinda sad to return it to its owner :)

That is darling! I can’t believe you found the sled for $5. I might have to hit up Michaels soon because I’ve been wanting one for my front porch. Thanks for linking up at A Crafty Christmas!

This is so super cute! I found a wooden sled at a flea market for $2. I’ve sanded & repainted it, now it sits waiting for some stenciling inspiration easier than the idea I WAS going to do on it. I think this is the ticket! How darling!
