Cold and flu season has definitely made its presence in our home in the last couple of weeks. I’m actually at the tail end of battling a cold right now which made for a lazier weekend than I had anticipated. While burrying myself in big comfy throws and tissue boxes within reach I’ve thinking about all the things that I could use to help me feel better. The more I thought about it I realized it would be a great idea to pick up a few extra supplies to prepare Get Well Soon gifts for family and friends. This way whenever my mother, sisters, or best friend are feeling under the weather I can take a little gift to help them feel better. How I never thought to do this before is beyond me.

Get Well Gift Ideas

Here’s an example of a get well soon gift basket I put together and a few gift ideas.

I think the most essential item during cold and flu season is a box of tissue. Even during the remainder of the year a box of Kleenex tissue is a staple in our home. With three kiddos having a tissue box in every room comes in handy.

I picked up the four Kleenex boxes plus the on the go packs. I love those things! I keep them in my purse at all times!

Get Well Gift Ideas:

tissue

sanitizer

lotion

lip balm

comfy socks

cough drops

hot cocoa mix

A few more ideas to include: a movie, book, Sudoku/crossword puzzle, coffee or tea.

I took a few gift wrapping supplies I had on hand to put the gift basket together. The wire basket is from the Target dollar section, clear cellophane from the craft store, and the ribbon was left over from my glass glitter pear ornament.

Get Well Soon Gift Baskets

Its a simple gift but hopefully it’ll cheer someone up next time they’re feeling under the weather.

I hope you had a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!

I have been making these for a long time. I also include a can of chicken soup. Friends and family really appreciate it.

Just was wondering where in the world you got your backdrop from? I have been looking to get something like that but can’t figure out what it is? Is it real wood?
