First of all, thank you so much for all of your sweet comments about my painted jars! I’m always amazed at how some of my most simple and easy projects are the most liked. To continue with my beach theme bathroom project I decided to make some more accessories.
Supplies:
Crushed Shells
Mod Podge
White Paint
Unfinished Frame
Candle
Spray Adhesive
I don’t have it pictured but after applying mod podge to the frame I gave it a quick spray of adhesive just to make sure the shells didn’t fall off.
I painted the frame, then once dried applied the mod podge, adhesive, and shells in sections.
I used the same method with the candle, but unlike with the frame I had to allow each section to dry completely or the shells would roll right off. Trust me, I found out rather quickly that patience is important when doing the candle.
And there you have it..a beautiful frame and candle for my guest bathroom
I hope everyone has a wonderful week! I will be studying for finals, but hopefully I’ll have a new recipe to post in a few days.
Please check out my link party page here to see where I’m linking up
Very cute and beachy! And good luck with finals!
This is very pretty!
I love this! I'd like to invite you to post it on Masterpiece Monday at Boogieboard Cottage. The link will be up all week, I hope you can join in. Have a nice week, Mary :O)
These are adorable! Love the beachy feel they bring to any room! Thanks so much for sharing with the Pink Hippo Party!
Hey! I featured this on my blog today! Come grab a button :) https://mygirlishwhims.blogspot.com/2011/05/your-whims-wednesday-7-and-features.html
Wow, those are sooo gorgeous! I have been trying to come up with crafts to use all of the seashells we picked up on our beach vacation this year; I actually posted about three of my ideas here: https://oneartmama.blogspot.com/2011/08/she-sells-seashells.html
Anyway, I will have to crush up some of the ones I have left over and try this!! I love mod podge!
