Now that Summer is unofficially here I see a lot of s’mores making in the next few months. What better way to enjoy s’mores than with a s’mores bar display! Last weekend we soaked up some much needed family time and enjoyed a sweet assortment of s’mores at my mother’s in laws house. This past weekend was a special one with a wedding (Congrats Aunt Connie!) and extended family in town. There was a lot to celebrate, especially that my husband had a small vacation to enjoy the family festivities. You see the hubs has always had to work during events like this so this was a special treat. We definitely don’t celebrate him enough and with Father’s Day right around the corner I have a few fun ideas I’m planning just for him.
I was recently challenged by World Market to shop for Father’s Day Gifts we could enjoy during an event. Of course I was up for the challenge! Me + shopping at World Market = love! I headed to World Market to see what fun gifts I could find for the hubs. He’s a simple guy so I wanted to find things that were functional and that we could use for Summer gatherings at our house.
I found this cutting board and it was love at first sight. I mean seriously it’s a beauty! Along with the cutting board I picked up a bottle of pop because this guy enjoys his soda and thought it’d be cute to add a “You’re the best, Pop” tag as a small gift from the kids (I’m working on making a printable and will share it with you guys soon). Then of course I had to throw in a stainless steel grilling set as well.
Can we talk about the galvanized caddy? Swoon! Okay, okay I picked it out more for me than him but I know he’ll enjoy using it during our backyard BBQ’s. I busted out the galvanized caddy and cutting board a little early to use for a s’more bar display this weekend. I made paper cones out of blue gingham parchment paper and filled each one with everything we needed to make s’mores.
Found you at Show and Tell Wednesdays. Thanks for the S’mores bar idea, it looks great. I started thinking of what I have around the house that would work and look as cute. Following you on pinterest.
Adorable idea! I am sad to say that I am not ready for Father’s Day yet! Yikes!
Love your ideas!! The smores basket is too cute!!
How cute!!!! What a fun way to organize all the goodies for s’mores!
It is Father’s day in September in Australia so I will have to remember this then because my husband loves s’mores!
If you have a minute to spare I’d be so thrilled if you could share this post at my weekly Say G’day linky party. It’s on right now and this post would be a perfect addition!
Best wishes,

I love s’mores bars! I looked at those carriers at WM but didn’t know what I would use them for. Great idea!
We had in indoor s’mores party last year this would have worked great for.

I have never thought of making s’mores with peanut butter cups. What a neat idea. It would be a pleasure to have you join my weekly link party and share this. https://thelifeofjenniferdawn.blogspot.com/2013/06/a-little-bird-told-me-link-party-46.html
I love that little S’mores display … what a great container! World Market is such a fun place to shop and has such great gifts! Perfect for Father’s Day. Thanks for sharing this at Project Inspire{d}.
So cute! I didn’t know anyone else ever used something besides chocolate in their s’mores! We use peanut butter cups too but my favorite has to be peppermint patties. So yummy!
Thanks for sharing!
