Teacher Appreciation Cookies – chocolate covered OREO cookies decorated in an apple shape.Teacher Appreciation Cookies

Teacher Appreciation Cookies

Teacher appreciation week is quickly coming up! We love our teachers and have been really lucky that the kids have had such a great experience at school. Teachers spend a large portion of their week with our kids and we’re grateful for everything they do. I’m usually more of a gift card giver, but this year I wanted to think of a few new teacher appreciation ideas. I have a couple teacher appreciation printables in the works and will share them with you in the upcoming weeks. Today I’m sharing these Teacher Appreciation cookies!

How to make Teacher Cookies

The cookies are chocolate covered OREOS decorated with an A+ apple cookie mold. You could wrap these in clear bags and add a teacher appreciation printable tag for an easy gift! For more teacher appreciation ideas check out the blog hop below and enter the giveaway!
I’ve added Amazon affiliate links below

Supplies:
Apple OREO cookie mold
OREO cookies
Chocolate wafers – these are my favorite!
Candy melts – white, red and green
Piping bags

1. Melt white candy melts in a small microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 15-30 seconds. Pour white chocolate in piping bag and fill in the A+ on the mold. Tip: use a toothpick to help spread chocolate. Let the chocolate harden for a few minutes before moving on to step two.Teacher Appreciation Cookies2. Repeat step one with the green candy melts for the leaf and red for the apple. Place the mold in the refrigeratorTeacher Appreciation Cookies3. Melt dark chocolate then spoon or pipe into the mold halfway. Place an OREO cookie inside and cover with chocolate. I like to use OREO thins but the regular OREOS will work. Once all of the molds are filled, place in refrigerator for 15 minutes. Let the chocolate sit at room temperature before removing from mold.Teacher Appreciation Cookiesteacher appreciation ideas

The oreo teacher appreciation cookies are really cute. My daughter is a new teacher and I have been thinking of making her some kind of gift for teacher appreciation week and I know these cookies will be a hit.
