Shimmery pink and gold Unicorn Birthday Party – unicorn party ideas, food and decorations.Hey friends! If you follow me on Snapchat and Instagram, you usually get a behind the scenes look at what I’m working on. Back in August I shared a few sneak peeks at my daughter’s Unicorn birthday party..fast forward to now and I’m finally putting together the post to share all the details. Like I said, my daughter turned seven in August. I can hardly believe that my tiny almost 6lb baby that I spent 7 months on bedrest hoping and praying for is already 7. Time has definitely flown by. Being the only girl in between two boys has been fun for the both of us. She enjoys dressing up, setting up fancy tea parties and basically anything girly. She definitely helps balance out the boys. This year she wanted to invite friends from school to have a swim party. Today I’m sharing her pink and gold unicorn birthday party!

Unicorn Party
We decided to keep things simple by using already made party supplies like the unicorn horns and star wands. The Meri Meri unicorn party supplies were perfect for our theme. I knew I wouldn’t have a lot of time to craft my own unicorn horns so buying them already assembled was a great option for us.The balloon backdrop was sort of a last minute addition. I had pink and shimmery gold balloons on hand so I asked my husband to pick up a helium tank and quickly added them behind the table. The kids enjoyed playing with them towards the end of the party. We also had this beautiful unicorn balloon! It was huge!
I didn’t take a great picture of the tablecloth but it’s absolutely beautiful in person! I was so impressed with how shimmery it is and the gorgeous blush pink color. They come in a variety of colors; I highly recommend it for every occasion! The personalized initiations are from Etsy.
I made a layered cake covered in pink frosting and sprinkles. At the top I poured melted white chocolate and decorated with an assortment of sprinkles and candy. The rainbow candy bark was a big hit!
For an easy unicorn party food idea, we covered sugar cones in white chocolate then added star sprinkles. The kids loved the unicorn horns!
Pink cotton candy sprinkled with edible gold stars.
A talented local baker created these beautiful unicorn cookies personalized with my daughter’s name and age. I loved the way they turned out!

What a sweet party! I think I want this theme for my own b-day this year, although maybe I’m too old. ;)
LOVE the unicorn theme! How did you do the cake? How are the sprinkles on the bottom done and how did you get that melted white chocolate on top?? Thanks!
What shop on Etsy did you get the invitations from? We’re doing a unicorn party for my daughter’s 4th birthday and those are so darling!
