The busy schedules are back in place with school now in session. I sometimes crave the routines, having our days laid out in front of us but I’ll admit no matter how routine a schedule becomes I still need a reminder. I’m a visual person, a list-maker, note-writer, calendar loving person. I need to write things down or I’ll forget. Something about having that third little guy come along that caused this “mommy brain” to never fully recover. By the way my husband thinks I’m crazy for not adding everything to my phone to remind me of dates, appointments and such. He probably thinks this because I lose my daily to-do list about 4 times a week..haha! See, I told ya this mommy brain is not going away. Regardless, I still wake up every morning to check my calendar and plan out my day by writing a to-do list. There’s something gratifying about crossing things off a list, even if it takes several days to complete it. To help keep us on schedule we recently created a BIC Back-to-School washi tape calendar with BIC Atlantis® pens.Washi Tape Calendar

With two kids in separate schools I have plenty of dates to remember. There are two different back to school nights, different fundraisers, school pictures and such. I’ve had a stack of these blank calendar sheets in my stash and knew it was time to put them to use. Washi tape calendar craft

I used the washi tape to remind me of dates and also wrote down notes with the BIC Atlantis® pens. The pens have a smooth glide, which is of course a necessity. :) washi tape crafts

I also use the pens to write down notes in a journal that I carry in my purse. I found this chevron journal at Michaels for 50 cents! It’s the perfect size for making lists and notes without cluttering my bag.

I love the calendar! The washi tape idea is genius!! Love the pens too! I use different colored pens all the time…never blue or black…they are too blah for me. I’m trying to use my Iphone more for my lists (I prefer paper, but according to my husband it is a great feature of the phone and it is always with me). Have a great day!!

Judith I » I believe I picked them up at Jo-Ann’s. Hobby Lobby also had plain black and white calendar pages in their scrapbook aisle. Thanks for stopping by!

I love your calendar! I use washi tape to mark certain things on mine as well. And I’m a bit jealous at all the trips you’re taking this month! :)
