Easy 3-ingredient pink Himalayan salt grapefruit soap recipe. This easy DIY melt and pour soap is made with skin nourishing goats milk soap base and exfoliating himalayan salt.
Himalayan Salt Grapefruit Soap
Hey crafty friends! I have another melt and pour soap recipe to share with you. I made this grapefruit soap with pink himalayan salt for Mother’s Day a few weeks ago. I have to say this might just be my favorite soap recipe so far. I love our lemon soap and lavender lemon soap but I’m currently obsessed with all things grapefruit. I’ve been using grapefruit essential oils in homemade lip balm, bath salts, and in this easy soap recipe using a melt and pour soap base.
Melt and Pour Soap Recipe
Melt and pour soap recipes are easy to make and can be customized with your favorite scents, exfoliant additives and colors. This soap recipe is made with goat’s milk soap base, pink himalayan salt and grapefruit essential oil. The coarse Himalayan salt provides exfoliation to dry hands while the goat’s milk soap replenishes moisture.

I will say that initially had a hard time releasing the soap from the plastic molds. I typically use silicone molds which are easier to work with but this work well if you don’t fill them up all the way. I also lightly greased the molds with coconut oil to help release the soap easily. Note: I linked a silicone mold above that I highly recommend, it makes removing the soap so much easier! Also, I’ve received a few emails saying the soap harden too quickly. I worked really fast to pour the soap into the mold right after stirring in the himalayan salt. If you encounter this issue I suggest adding the Himalayan salt to your mold, then pouring the soap and sprinkling more Himalayan salt on top. This will ensure the soap will have himalayan salt on the top and bottom to provide a natural exfoliant.

I find that grapefruit essential oil smells lovely in soap but is very drying to the skin when used in soaps because its meant to firm the skin up.. what was your experience like?
I have made soap and I am excited to make these. But instead of the grapefruit essential oil I think I am going to use a grapefruit blush scent made for soap crafts. Thanks for the idea of adding the Himalayan salt!!!
This recipe is great! Is the salt supposed to sink to the bottom of the mold?
Hi. How many of these type of soap molds does it take to make a batch of soap from this recipe?
Love the design…where did you buy the stamp?
