Enjoy a twist on classic s’mores with this easy 4-ingredient s’more bark with fun size Hershey bars.Â
Happy Friday, my friends! As I mentioned earlier in the week it’s been HOT here in central California. I’ve been avoiding being outside until the evening when the temps slightly drop to bearable levels. It’s about that time when you can’t leave certain things in that car for too long or they’ll melt, like lip balm and candy. I had a firsthand experience with that this week. A few days ago I picked up a couple bags of chocolate chips for a few recipes that kids want to try this weekend. After Target we decided to stop at Barnes & Noble to pick up books and stay out of the heat for a bit. Didn’t think anything of it… Later on while unloading our bags I realized that our chocolate chips had completely melted! I’m pretty sure when they became solid again we wouldn’t be able to use them in our recipes. The melted chocolate made me think of the peppermint bark we make during the holidays..which then made me think of what kind of chocolate bark recipe would go with a classic summer treat. It so happens we picked up ingredients for s’mores that day as well. And that folks is how this s’more bark recipe came to life. I plan to make this over and over again this summer.
Chocolate bark is very easy to make by simply melting your favorite chocolate then adding toppings. You can also add extracts into the melted chocolate for added flavor. This s’more chocolate bark is made with 2 cups milk chocolate chips, graham cracker pieces, miniature marshmallows, and miniature Hershey bars.
