Kids will love these festive Easter candy kabobs! Stack colorful Easter candy on a bamboo skewer to fill in Easter baskets or to give to friends and classmates.

Candy kabobs are a fun treat to make for an Easter basket, along with Homemade Marshmallow Eggs, Chocolate Bunnies, and Sock Bunnies.

Creating holiday candy gifts for the kids is one of my favorite traditions. Every season I try to find cute, easy, and festive treats to make into holiday gifts. Now that my kids are on the older tween and teenage side, candy kabobs are a fun way to give candy treats in their Easter baskets.

This candy stick gift is easy to make and a great idea for an Easter celebration. I like to find an assortment of candy like gummies and marshmallows that are easy to stack on a skewer stick. Look in the baking aisle and seasonal section of the grocery store for spring-inspired marshmallow treats and candy.

How to assemble Easter candy kabobs

  1. Start by selecting your candy arrangement ahead of time. You can change the candy order as you wish or decide on a particular order. I tried to use a mix of bright candies in multiple textures and designs.
  2. Use a damp napkin or kitchen towel to clean the skewer periodically if it becomes too sticky from the gummy residue.
  3. Continue to slide the candy down the skewer until there’s enough room at the top to finish with a marshmallow peep bunny.
  4. To give as candy gifts, wrap the candy kabobs in food-safe clear treat bags. Tie with ribbon.
  5. Tip: use lollipop sticks for younger children instead of bamboo skewers. Keep a close eye on children with the skewers. Another option is to trim off the pointed end for extra precaution.

Recipe Notes:

If you’re having trouble with the candy sliding down the skewer, lightly coat the skewers with nonstick cooking spray. Use a napkin to remove any excess cooking spray. The cooking spray will help glide the gummy candy and make the assembly process quicker.
