Shades of Blue Mantel Décor – Spring inspired mantel decor with pops of blue.

Spring Home Decor - update your home with neutrals and shades of blue vases for Spring!

This post is brought to you by Wayfair.
Hello, friends! On this cold, overcast day I’m sharing my Spring inspired mantel. So let me start off by saying I’m feeling blues right now, not the emotional kind, blue home décor to be precise. I often stick to a very neutral color palette consisting of mainly grey, black, white, taupe…basically anything but color. Don’t get me wrong, I love color, I’m just afraid to use in my home. I started experimenting with pops of blue on my mantel and I love it!

Spring Mantel DecoratingA couple months ago we received our electric fireplace from Wayfair and we have fallen in love with it. You see I grew up reading stories next to the fireplace with my siblings and cuddling on cold, winter days drinking hot cocoa. I’ll always cherish those memories from my childhood and wished we could do the same with the kids. Unfortunately we live in an area where homes built after 2004 are prohibited from building a wood-burning fireplace, due to air quality issues. Since our home was built after the ban was in place and we plan to build a home in the future, my dreams of having a fireplace had slowly diminished. Having a mantel to decorate has always been a dream of mine and thankfully because of alternative options like an electric fireplace it’s become a feasible reality for us. We couldn’t be happier to add this piece to our home; it’s such a beautiful fireplace with great details and crisp white paint.

Faux FireplaceThe Ashley Electric Fireplace is about 42 inches tall and 48 inches wide, making it a perfect fit for an empty wall we had in our living room. The programmable thermostat is great for heating our living room on cold days and the kids really enjoy seeing the flickering flame. My favorite part is definitely decorating the mantel. I shared a picture of our holiday mantel during Christmas time on instagram and I plan to share a Valentine’s Day mantel in the coming weeks.

This Spring inspired mantel with pops of blue is a perfect in-between holidays/spring mantel for our neutral home.

Blue Home DecorI added a large wreath from Michaels to a tiled mirror to give it a pretty Spring vibe.

Tiled Mirror Mantel DecorI then added blue jars and vases for color. I’m quite happy with how it turned out and it’s encouraged me to try mixing in color into our home décor.

Are you ready for Spring? It’s been quite dreary around these parts. I miss the sun so I’m looking forward to bright, sunny days in the Spring!

I received product from Wayfair to conduct this review; no other compensation was received. All opinions are my own.

I love the touches of blue. Not flashy, but just enough color to add interest. Your decor looks great on top of your new fireplace.

I really love how you used variance in types of glass to create great depth of colour and texture. Beautiful styling!

Where did you purchase the little wooden “house” from your shades of blue spring mantel? I love it!
