DIY Gold Thanksgiving Tablescape
Gold Thanksgiving Tablescape

Happy Monday, my friends! On Saturday I hosted a dinner party with my closest friends and today I’m sharing all the party details, from table decor to our main course.

Fall Thanksgiving TablescapeI recently hosted a dinner party with my closest friends to test them out.

I never pass up an opportunity to create a tablescape, this small gathering was no exception. With Thanksgiving right around the corner I wanted to create gold Thanksgiving inspired table settings and decor. My favorite were these DIY napkin rings made with Christmas floral picks. Wait a minute..I’m sharing a Thanksgiving idea before Halloween using Christmas decor? You bet I am! Even though the floral picks were part of the Christmas decor I couldn’t help think they’d work beautifully in a Fall tablescape.

DIY Thanksgiving Napkin RingsMy idea of the perfect Fall table was to fill it with metallic gold pumpkins and accents. I used a fake 50 cent pumpkin I thrifted and spray painted it with gold spray paint. I then took two small (real) pumpkins and painted those as well. I love how simple they are but make a big impact on the burlap table runner. I also used gold votive holders, gold glittered pinecones, and a gold Christmas garland as a filler.

DIY Metallic Gold PumpkinSo here’s a little blogger insight ..it’s pretty difficult to keep a straight face trying to photograph your friends eating. They’re used to me documenting everything but we might have had way more outtakes then decent pictures to share. They kept laughing which then made me laugh and the camera shake. It’s always a great time having them over!

I LOVE the tablescape! Question on the sliced “stump” under the pumpkin. Was this something that you purchased or used from old wood? I love it!

I’m always trying to find the perfect gold spray paint. Please tell me which brand and the color name of the paint you used on your pumpkins. Thanks and Have a Blessed Day.

I too love to have gold things all around for the holidays. May I ask what brand/color name of gold paint did you use?
