Happy Monday my friends! I’m excited to finally have several projects finished AND photographed to share with you this week. We went to Disneyland last month and two hours after we left the little one starting feeling sick. Needless to say the entire family has had their round in the last month. The blog has kinda taken the back burner and I’ve been anxious to finish projects. But I’m back full of ideas to share with YOU! Starting with this Moss Christmas Tree I recently made.
While reading a Better Homes & Garden Christmas magazine I came across a moss tree and knew right away it would be the perfect addition to my table Christmas tree display. This year my Christmas decor is an eclectic collection of all of my favorites- neutrals, glitter, and a touch of green. My hope is to stay away from purchasing any more decor and focus on making everything myself.
How to make moss Christmas trees
-moss
-pail
-hot glue
-styrofoam cone and square
-tree twig
-mini pom pom trim
I began by gluing the the stryofoam square inside the pail. I used adhesive moss sheets to cover the cone but did have to use a little hot glue to secure the seams. For the tree “stump” I used a twig which gave it a realistic look. It was a little bare so that’s where the pom pom trim came into play. Then a little bit of loose moss at the base finished off the project.
I love the way my little moss Christmas tree looks! I may use a star at the top but am still undecided. For now it’s going with my new ruffled fabric trees as part of a Christmas tree display I’m working on.
This is beautiful! I love the white trim on it, too. Very classy!
I love those trees!
absolutely love this! I’m featuring you on my blog tonight thanks for linking up at my What We Wore, Read, and Made Link Party
