Quick and easy Halloween crafts: How to make painted chevron Halloween Treat Bags.

Halloween Treat Bags

Remember when I said I was ready for fall recipes? I also meant Fall & Halloween crafts! You’re probably not even thinking about Halloween yet but I’m excited because its one of my favorite holidays! It’s my first born’s birthday so every year we try to really make it as special as we can. This year we’re planning a big vacation trip for him, but shhh it’s a secret.

How to make Halloween treat bags

Supplies:

  • Muslin bags
  • American multi-surface paint (in Pumpkin Patch)
  • DecoArt Stencil
  • Spray adhesive
  • Brush
  • Trim
  • Hot glue

Halloween Crafts

To make the the treat bags I lightly sprayed the stencil with spray adhesive and placed it on the bag, then used two coats of paint. Note: place a thick piece of cardstock or cardboard inside of the bag to prevent the paint from going through.

Chevron Crafts

I embellished the bags with trim from the fabric store and a spider sticker. Super easy to make and are great for halloween parties. I would filled them with the small candy corn bags you’ll find around Halloween time or other wrapped fun-sized candy.

These bags are too cute and seem easy to make! I’m not an expert crafter (sewing is totally out) so this project seems perfect for me! Halloween is also a favorite in our house and I just finished a Halloween advent calendar! So love this time of year too… Thanks for a fun craft!!
