Christmas Ornament Oreo Truffles Ingredients
- Oreo cookies – classic or gluten-free Oreos (not double-stuffed) work best in this recipe. You can also use mint Oreos or other seasonal flavors.
- Cream cheese – softened cream cheese is the ingredient that helps bind the crushed Oreos into a truffle-like mixture to shape into balls. Keep at room temperature for 30 minutes before making the recipe.
- Candy melting wafers – white chocolate or colorful candy melts can be used to make festive ornament balls.
- Mini Reese’s candy – the miniature Reese’s cups typically used for ice creams sundaes fit the ornament balls best.
- Sprinkles – get creative with holiday sprinkles. Use a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes to decorate patterns similar to a decorated Christmas ornament.
- Optional: edible gold spray – add a beautiful gold ornament topper by spraying mini Reese’s cup.
