DIY Bunny Bath Bombs

DIY Bunny Bath Bombs – create bunny shaped bath bombs infused with essential oils for a quick last-minute Easter basket filler.

DIY Bunny Bath BombsHey crafty friends! Tomorrow is the first day of Spring break and the kids are just as excited as I am for them to be home. We’ve been traveling all over California almost every weekend for the last 6 weeks and we’re ready for a relaxing week at home. We have a few fun activities planned like picnics at the park, a trip to the zoo, and taking my oldest paint balling with his friends. Other than that we may stay in our pjs all day and enjoy the next 10 days together. I’m a little surprised that Easter is only a few days away. I feel like it snuck up on us this year. As of right now I’m not even sure we have 3 Easter baskets ready to be filled. However, I have began collecting a few things here and there to fill their baskets with. Something new I’ll be adding this year are Bunny Bath Bombs.

DIY Bunny Bath BombsMy love for Lush bath bombs has definitely been passed down to the kids. They enjoy going into the store and picking out their favorite bath bombs just as much as I do. My little guy likes the blue robot bath bomb and it inspired me to make my own shaped bath bombs for the kids. These bunny bath bombs are scented with essential oils and made with a Wilton silicone bunny mold. I’ve added Amazon affiliate links below to where you can find everything I used for this recipe.

DIY Bunny Bath Bombs

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoon epsom salt
2 teaspoons Sweet Almond Oil
3/4 teaspoon water
15-20 drops Lemon Essential Oil
or Lavender Essential Oil
food coloring or soap dye (optional)

Wilton Bunny Silicone Treat Mold

In a large bowl combine baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch and epsom salt.
In a small bowl combine almond oil, water, essential oil, and food coloring.
Pour wet mixture into dry mixture. Mix with a whisk until fully combined. Use your hands to press bath bomb mixture into mold. Dry overnight before removing from mold.

DIY Bath BombsTip: if the mixture needs more water use a spray bottle and lightly spray until you reach the right consistency. Be careful not to add too much water or the mixture will start to fizz. Test the mix by grabbing a handful, if it holds it’s shape it’s ready.
